A Trip To The Harry Potter Studios

Recently I visited the Harry potter studios and here is a blog which I wrote the day after.

So, It was the day of my fifteenth birthday and as part of the celebrations, my parents had booked to take the family to the Warner Bros Studios near London. After a rushed one and a half hour journey to get to the studios on time, we later found out that we actually had more than half an hour after our allocated time to sit  and have a cup of coffee (which was rather nice actually). After a sit down, we went to go and line up ready for our tour. The line was humongous and we must have patiently waited for at least half an hour before going in. It wasn't great organisation on the staffs side of things.

Firstly we entered a small room with TV screens lined either side. The tour guide explained about how the tour takes around 3 hours on average and that we could go at our own pace.
Secondly, We entered a large cinema room where a short film was played about the magic of Harry Potter. Suddenly the screen lifted and behind was a big dramatic set of doors. As it was my birthday, I got to help to push the doors open. Behind was the great Hogwarts hall- how magnificent?

I am not going to reveal much more, as I don't want to spoil the magic if you do go yourself, but I do want to say that it was amazingly magical. Even if you are not a big fan of Harry Potter, you are sure to enjoy your day. I am going to mention the fact that on your magical journey you have a chance to ride upon a broomstick and ride in a flying car. Also, during the day you have an opportunity to try the famous butter beer (which is only sold at 2 places in the world). I am not going to lie it is possibly the sickliest thing I have ever tasted, but still very nice in small sips.

At the end of the tour you are lead into the gift shop which is extremely overpriced, but I still bought some things. I bought: The first harry potter book, as I have been wanting to read it for ages £6.99; A grifindor pin badge £7.99 and a huge multicolour lollipop to eat on the way home £3.99

Overall I had a really great day and I extremely thankful to my parents for booking it. I would recommend it to any people who like Harry Potter, you are ensured a truly magical day!

Lots of  Love,

Jodie xxx
