Just a quick post to wish you all happy Easter. I hope you all have lots of fun and eat lots of chocolate. With this I post a picture of a little chick, just because I found it cute. Random I know.
Happy Easter :)

Just a few little purchases...
So today I went shopping and bought a few things.I know it's not much, but to be honest I'd rather share a few bits here and there, than bore you with a huge long haul every so often.
The first shop that I went to was lush. I am a big fan of lush and I nearly always end up buying at least something from there (it's my addiction :p). This time I saw their sugar scrub and I thought that it would be great to use on my legs before shaving as they do get quite dry, especially in this wintery weather! It cost me around £2, which I thought was a reasonable price.
The last shop that I went in was Superdrug where I picked up t an MUA mosaic bronzer and the 'undress me too' eye shadow palette. I will let you know how I get on with all the products that I bought at a later date.
As always lots of love,

Mysterious make up look | colab with BeautyRoes
Me and my friend Rhiannon, decided to set a little make up challenge for each other and this time we chose the theme 'mysterious'. Rhiannon will be posting her version of this look, so click here to check it out.
When thinking about the theme I began to think of mystical creatures such as vampires, to inspire this look. I thought a purple smoky eye *purple colour does not show up well in the photo* and a red lip would be perfect for a mystical vampiress look. This look was super fun to create and it would be perfect for Halloween and costume parties.
So here is a closeup of the eye make I created and now I will write a tutorial on how you can re create this mystical look:
1) Firstly, prep and prime your face with a primer; I used W7 'prime magic, camera ready' primer. You may also choose to use an eye primer, but if you don't have one just rub your face primer onto your eyelids.
2) Next, find the lightest foundation you have; I used 'Revlon nearly naked' foundation in 'shell' and apply it all over your face. Now apply concealer on all your blemishes, you want to create a flawless look, I used Maybelline 'Fit me' concealer. Next set your foundation with a translucent loose powder, I used Dermablends loose setting powder.
3) For the eye makeup, find a light shimmery eyeshadow and apply it from the inner corner of your eye. Sweep it across just above your crease. For this look I used the MUA 'glitterball' palette.
4) Next, find a shimmery purple eyeshadow and sweep it across your lid with a fluffy brush and blend it outwards.
5) Now, find the blackest black you can find and apply it to your outer crease, with a fluffy brush, in light circular motions. Make sure you blend it in really well.
6) To Finnish the eye makeup find a white colour to use as a highlight and apply it under your brow bone.
7) To Finnish the look off, take a red lipstick or gloss and apply it to your lips. The darker, the better.
So that is the finished look and don't forget to check out my friend Rhiannon's blog post here . I hope you enjoyed this post and please comment down below if you want to see more makeup challenges.

My Mad Fat Diary Book Review
Its been about a month since we saw the final episode of My Mad Fat Diary grace our screens and to my delight it was announced that they're currently filming series two. Being that I enjoyed the TV series so much, I couldn't stand the wait, so I bought the book.
Rae is a 16 year old girl living in the 1990's. She likes the things that all other 16 year old girls like such as Boys, friends and good music. However, her normality is disguised by the fact that she weighs fifteen and a half stone and she is also fresh out of a mental hospital.
She lives in a council flat in Stamford with her crazy mum, who stops her from doing anything that 'may' trigger her illness and this means no parties, no alcohol and certainly NO BOYS. Her mum also welcomes an Moroccan body builder into their home, which she hates.
She craves love, but this isn't help that shes got a bitch of a 'friend' who aims
to upstage her. The book is written in short diary extracts and the language reminds me of 'Angus thongs and perfect snogging.
However, the book is altogether quite bland and the events in the book aren't as dramatic as in the TV series and I like dramatic events, so that was unfortunate. It gets quite confusing at times because all the names of the characters were different from the series. I kept on trying to work out who was who, but ended up puzzled. Its almost like channel 4 made up a completely new story line I don't know how they can even claim that it's based on this book to be honest, it just isn't the same. I didn't feel the emotions that came with watching the series. Overall, quite a big disappointment really. It is unusual for me to say that a tv series is better than a book, but in this case it is true.
So, sorry if you were planning to read this after watching the series on tv, but it just isn't worth it. I'd much rather wait for series two :)

Mini boots haul
Well it's been a very snowy past few days, so I thought I'd nip into boots to buy a few skincare items because I was out. I'm just going to share what I bought:
- simple moisturising face wash- this is a repurchase because I've ran out. It's great for removing makeup and works well for sensitive skin.
-Simple face scrub- I'm always trying out different facial exfoliators, so I bought this to try out. So far, so good, but I'll let you know how I get on with it .
-Simple revitalising eye roll on- I bought this to help brighten up dark circles and as its the school holidays, I haven't been getting a lot of sleep. Also, if you're wondering why I've bough so many simple products, it's because it was 3 for 2.
- skin clear rapid action spot gel- I've been braking out a lot lately, so I've bought this to hopefully calm my skin down.

1950s Inspired hair, make up and outfit
A while ago, I mentioned that I was having some photos done. The shoot was themed around 50's pin up, so I thought I'd show you what I wore because it was a fun look and it would be great to recreate.
For The Outfit:
Top- Newlook
Skirt- Topshop
Shoes- Newlook
For The Make up:
Foundation- Rimmel match perfection
Powder- collection 2000
Eyeliner- collection 2000 fast stroke
Lipstick- w7 bright red
Nails- out of 17 gift set
Note- I used no blusher or bronzer because they didn't tend to use it in the 50's
For The Hair:
1. Firstly make a quiff with your fringe. Here is a tutorial to help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8erbRhbgrU0
2. Optional: Insert a bumpit in the center of your head and ensure it is well hidden.3. Gather the hair behind your quiff together with your hands, as if you were going to put your hair into a low pony tail.
4. Twist the hair upwards and pin with lots of bobby pins. If you have long hair and you have hair left over after reaching the top of your head, twist your remaining hair downwards and pin with lots of bobby pins.

Armani shorts
So I was having a little shop round and I saw these little beauties. I'm not sure whether they were originally shorts in the first place, but I still love them. They are a tiny bit big, but still stay up just fine, so I may try and alter them myself. I bought them from a little vintage shop in leicester for just £15, in my eyes you can't go wrong really. They have all the genuine signs of armarni, it just shows what you can pick up if you shop around a little bit.
Lots of love,
Jodie xxxx

Revlon 'Nearly Naked' foundation
I was intrigued to try this foundation after another blogger wrote a post about, so I picked it up last weekend for a snazzy £8.99. After almost a week of using the product, I can now provide my honest opinion.
The foundation itself is very light coverage, but it seems to hide redness to an extent. I really love the way this foundation feels on my skin, it feels like I have no makeup on what so ever. It gives a more natural coverage and it has SPF 15, which will make it perfect for spring/summer.
It leaves your face with a fresh, glowy look. I love wearing it to school.
It is really smooth to apply and I have heard other bloggers comparing it to NARS sheer glow, which is about 3 times the price of this.
The only negatives that I have are:
- The foundation hasn't got a pump, so it's quite hard to pour out the right amount and you usually end up wasting some.
- It doesn't stay put as long as you'd probably want it to. It stays on for around 5 hours, but revlon hasn't really claimed it to last any longer.
I really love this foundation, but I wouldn't recommend it to people with older skin or people have unclear skin that they're self conscious about.
Over all a very good quality product which I will definitely be using lots and lots over the summer time.

Favourites #1- what I've been loving lately
I was going to do a February favourites post, but I got thinking. I don't often have a wide array of favourites every month, so I thought i'd just post an array of favourites when I feel I have enough to make a post. So these have been my favourites over the last 2-3 months or so.
1. Purple candle burner £5.00 Wilkinson's- Ive been loving burning candles lately, It makes such a great atmosphere in your room. This candle burner is so cute and pretty, with little purple butterfly's on the sides, it's a great addition to my room.
2.Viva la Juicy- juicy couture I've been loving this fruity, floral scent for so long and it's going to be perfect for spring/summer.
3. Pearly shine- Nivia During the cold weather, my lips become really dry. This product moisurises my lips and leaves them with a pearly pink shine *does what it says on the tin*
4.Barry M nail polish shade 340 I've been loving sparkly nail polish lately, boring nails are so overated.
5.No7- intense volume mascara I hate clumpy lashes and I was so glad that this wasn't one of those mascaras. It lengthens out my lashes perfectly. I just love it!
6.Hand Sanitiser- There as been a lot of illnesses going round lately and its important to keep yourself germ free so you dont get ill or make others ill.
7.Tangle Teezer- OMG! As many of my friends know, i'm a little obsessive brushing my hair lately. I just love the way this brush feels and since I got it around 3 weeks ago, virtually no hair has fallen out. I would definately reccomend getting one of these.
I hope you enjoyed this post,
Jodie xxxx
